These three Extremes all extended the wifi network created by the Time Capsule. I have three other AirPort Extremes (latest version) that are located in my home office, the garage, and the pool cottage. Only the wireless Xfinity set top boxes (which are connected to their respective TVs via HDMI) and Xfinity pods connect to the X1's wifi network. The X1 and the Time Capsule each broadcast wifi under a different network name.

The LG Smart TV is connected to the Time Capsule via ethernet. The X1 ethernet output connects to the Time Capsule ethernet input via a Cat 6 cable. The X1 is, of course, connected to Comcast coax cable. Use Time Capsule (AirPort Extreme) to extend wifi coverage of Xfinity X1 modem/router My Time Capsule (latest version) and my Xfinity X1 modem/router are located about 8 feet apart, one on each side (but not behind) my LG Smart TV. I have another Apple TV4K, and two 3rd generation Apple TV’s that would need to connect wirelessly. From what I have read, these can be reset to join the Mesh network wirelessly. I have 3 AirPort Express units that I use for Airplay connection to old audio equipment. If the AirPort Extremes are essentially acting as network hubs, then I should only have to reset them to connect to the Mesh network. Connected to that via Ethernet cable are a Mac Mini, and a Ethernet over power device that allows connection to a NetGear device in a back yard shed. In another room where I will have a Mesh satellite, I have another AirPort Extreme.

Q2 - After configuring the MacBook Pro to the Mesh network, will I run into any issues trying to reconfigure backups? Q2 - I assume I need to reconfigure network settings on the Apple TV4K to the new Mesh network and it should work. Q1 - Am I correct that the AirPort Extreme will essentially be acting as a network hub? Do I turn off wifi networking on the AirPort Extreme or set it to the same network name as the Mesh? In the room where I will have Mesh Router and one AirPort Extreme, currently connected via Ethernet cable to the AirPort Extreme are an Apple TV4K and an old Time Capsule in disk mode (Used to back up a MacBook Pro). If I reset my 2 AirPort Extremes, connect them via Ethernet cable and set them to join the new Mesh network (in bridge mode), do the AirPort Extremes essentially become network hubs?

I am upgrading to an Eero Pro Wifi6 Mesh Network.
